Is the burning question: Who will be our President?

Or is it: Who will be our KING?

I will do a series of articles under the umbrella title: "The Burning Question".  The main purpose of this Series will be to present a unique angle regarding the 2008 US Presidential election.  The talking-heads are already hard at it, and 11 months before the election we are already being inundated with Presidential Pontifications in the Media.  But surely the Lord has a different angle on these matters than the same-o political spaghetti we are hearing on TV and radio or reading on the net.

Political Wit:

Do we really want our enemies around the world to be able to say: “Your Commander in Chief wears a dress”? 

If John McCain slips his hand inside his shirt like Napoleon during one of his speeches, I’m going to reconsider my views on reincarnation. 

Barack Hussein Obama may be the only Candidate in American History who tries to avoid the whole Name-Recognition thing.   On the other hand, he has a perfect Name-Recognition advantage if he ever runs for the Presidency……. Of Pakistan. 

Now that we’re looking at the NY Giants verses the NE Patriots in the 2008 Super Bowl, does this foreshadow a Hillary Clinton (Senator from NY) verses Mitt Romney (former Mass Gov) in November ’08?  Two teams I don’t personally care for, but the Patriots will likely win.  Romney, too.    

Chuck Norris has been campaigning for Mike Huckabee.  They seem to have a special male-bonding thing.  If Mike ever adopts Chuck as his son, I guess his name will be: Chuck Huckabee. 

Passing up the IA, NH, and SC Primary campaigning… Rudy Gulliani has spent the bulk of his time running for Mayor of Florida.  Unfortunately, he was shocked to discover that this race is for President of America. 

McCain may get the Viet Nam Vet vote, but since she’s married to Bill, Hillary will get the Viet Nam draft-dodger vote. 

Running Mate Ideas:

Here’s some smart political strateegery:  If nominated, Barack Obama should choose Juan Valdez as his VP running mate.  That way, he has a lock on both the Terrorist AND the Illegal Alien vote… 

Romney could pick actor Brad Pitt to ensure the most handsome pair on the ballot.  That way, It’s a Mitt-Pitt ticket. 

Hillary can’t get along with ANYONE – even in her own party.   Even the Dems have too much self-respect to work under her… So I guess she’ll have to pass Bill off as her running-MATE.  Is that legal?  I don’t know, but illegal activity has never stopped the Clintons in the past.  

John McCain will run as his own VP – using the Split-Personality loophole in the Election rule book, page 428, section 8. 

If Mike Huckabee gets the nomination, does that mean his choice for “VP” will go by the title of: “AP”?  (“Associate Pastor”) 

Mayor Rudy will likely make a shrewd pick for his VP – Louisiana native Ray Nagin.  Mayor Nagin led New Orleans during the Hurricane Katrina crisis, and so combined – they would be unbeatable, right?  (At least by Rudy’s logic…)
