We've been having difficulty with the Website lately.  However, we had plans to make some Major Changes and upgrades anyway...   like Streaming Video and Audio.

OK, I know that 'Easter' is bogus.  And NO, my kids don’t have a chocolate bunny hangover today.  Not even any side-effects of eating a half dozen dye & peel hard boiled eggs (after too many tots have handled them).  No, we simply had a normal service yesterday, remembering of course, that it is Passover time - the time of year that Jesus rose from the dead.  Actually, EVERY day is Resurrection Day for a Christian, right?.   At the same time - if you had 'Easter' baskets, it's fine with me.  I'm just sayin'...  

   “Christian” leaders in the news, like Obama’s pastor Jeremiah Wright, have brought renewed scrutiny to the Christian faith.  People throw around the title "theologian", and I'm wondering if being a theologian these days has anything to do with the Bible.  Apparently not.  If Rev Wright “led me to Christ”, as Barrack Obama claims, then what is their definition of ‘Christ’?  It certainly seems Obama's Jesus is a very  different Jesus than the one I know.  I think Rev Wright is actually Rev Wrong.

Today 3/16/08 is the Final broadcast for the HEARTLAND SHOW on KFAQ. It was a wonderful 5 year run for me - and I wouldn't trade it for anything.  I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the faithful Heartland listeners. You can still hear me every Saturday Afternoon 3 - 6pm on KFAQ 1170am in Tulsa.  This is simply a programming change that Management has implemented.  I now look forward to developing a loyal audience on Saturdays, and giving my full attention to building the Heartland Church on Sundays.

I hope that everyone will vote today, of course.  Many have given their very lives to preserve our American vote.  Voting is our solemn responsibility, and is a major way for Christians to be "salt and light" in our culture. 

And I ask that, as Christians, we all physically hesitate before we vote and submit all the information we have learned about the candidates, and even submit the decision of who we’ve decided to vote for – to Jesus Christ our Lord. 

In honor to Jesus Christ, and in willingness to hear His voice, we should pause in the voting booth and bow our heart to Christ.   Listen for His still, small voice and act on whatever He impresses on your heart.

Because of the Cross:

Jesus deserves that high level of Lordship in our lives.

He deserves the final referral of our heart before we make ANY decisions, especially one of the greatest responsibilities of casting our Vote.

He deserves for us to humble ourselves, our intellect, and our research before Him. 

Some Christians  see the act of Worship in the religious box of simply singing songs to God.  But the attitude and condition of the heart is the main thing in worship.

What I am describing here - is an act of true Worship from the hearts of a grateful, blood-bought, redeemed people.  A people who will physically stop and check in with their Lord Jesus before voting.  And If we would all say a Prayer for America, right there in that voting booth, how powerful would that be?  God only knows.  

Remember – Americans will elect a President this year.  But Jesus Christ is still Lord over all the earth.  May our votes help to keep Jesus Christ’s influence in the forefront of the hearts of ALL American elected officials - and front & center in every Issue before them.
