In September of 2000, God visited me with an actual Vision.  I’d like to say that I was on a mountaintop kneeling in prayer, but the truth is: I was in the shower.  I came running out of the bathroom, dripping wet, and began writing everything down that I had seen.  One of the Primary things God showed me that day was an unusual Map of the United States of America.

I went out and bought a large USA map that day, and put it on my office wall.  I tried to duplicate what I’d seen in the Vision. Two months later, in November 2000, I was watching the Bush/Gore Presidential election coverage on the fledgling Fox News Channel.  Suddenly the Same Map appeared on my TV screen.  I shouted for my wife to come quickly.  The map I had crudely replicated on my wall was on Television.  It was the now-famous Red State / Blue State map.  Without going into all the details, God had commissioned me to strengthen the Red State region of America.  He told me to Establish and Confirm His Church in The Heartland region.  He had shown me 12 specific Cities in the Heartland.  These are Cities where I will fulfill my life-work, establishing His Church.  He made it clear to me, that if we lose the Heartland, we will summarily lose our nation to dark spiritual forces.

CIVIL WAR

The 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections revealed that America is terribly divided.  No longer is it Republican and Democrat: it is now Conservative and Liberal.  Even Conservative Americans are divided among themselves.  Some are Financially conservative, but others are also Morally conservative.  Old-line Christian denominations have forsaken the Bible, and are ordaining homosexual bishops, advocating same-sex marriage.  The battle lines are drawn.  It’s no longer Right verses Left, but now Right verses Wrong.  This has produced a social atmosphere of Civil War on many fronts.  But it’s no longer North verses South, or Blue against Grey.   It is Red State ideology against Blue State ideology, it’s the Heartland in the middle verses the two Coastlands.  Yet having said this, I know the momentous struggle facing America is more Spiritual in nature, rather than just Political.  The battlefields are not Gettysburg or Bull Run.  They are now the American Courts, Universities, and Churches.  Our Churches and our Voting Booths remain our only hope to preserve a Nation caught in a downward spiral of Idolatry, Perversion, and Greed.  The following words of Jesus Christ fuel my concern for the Nation of my birth:  “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand” Matt 12:25   It is time for every Christian in the Heartland Region of America to stop playing church and get serious about the full mission of Christ.
